Two women were robbed in the 1200 block of Bourbon Street on Monday night, according to the New Orleans Police Department.

Around 11:20 p.m., the 26 and 27-year-old victims were approached from behind by two armed male suspects, who demanded and stole their purses.

The suspects fled on Bourbon Street toward Esplanade Avenue. NOPD describes one suspect as "a black male, approximately 5'8" to 5'9" tall, having a thin build and armed with a gun. He was wearing a dark black or blue-hooded sweatshirt with blue jeans."

NOPD describes the second suspect as "a black male, approximately 5’8” to 5’9” tall, and having a medium build. He was possibly wearing a sports jersey."
