Suspect in N.O. East homicide surrenders to police _lowres

A man suspected in a homicide Sunday in New Orleans East has surrendered to police.

Oliver Broussard, 32, is suspected of killing Kelvin Hunter, 32.

Hunter was found about 5:30 p.m. inside an apartment in the 10000 block of Roger Drive.

Broussard turned himself in to police with his attorney and was booked on a count of second-degree murder, police said.

A witness identified him as the alleged triggerman, police said.

Homicide Detective Ryan Aucoin is in charge of the investigation.
