A Kenner man was arrested after an argument with his wife turned physical early Sunday morning, the Kenner Police Department said.
Damon Fleming, 50, of 800 27th Street, was fighting with his wife when he came home drunk before midnight on Saturday, Kenner Police spokesman Lt. Brian McGregor said. As the argument became physical, Fleming grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed his wife in her left thight and cut her near her cheek and temple.
The victim grabbed the knife from Fleming and was transported to a local hospital, McGregor said.
Fleming had an existing warrant for aggravated battery and he beat his wife last month in Metairie, McGregor said.
Fleming was arrested for aggravated battery and remains in custody, Fleming said.
