New Orleans police are looking for a man alleged to have stolen seafood from a delivery man without paying for it.
Around 9:30 a.m. Friday, a seafood delivery driver met with a man known as “Corey Coleman” in a parking lot at 3340 Orleans Avenue, the New Orleans Police Department said in a news release. The delivery driver unloaded several cases of fish, oysters and shrimp into Coleman’s black, four-door Mercedes-Benz.
Coleman gave the delivery driver an envelope that was supposed to contain a check for the value of the order and drove away in the Mercedes, police said. But when the delivery driver opened the envelope, there was no money inside.
Coleman is in his late 30s or early 40s, police said. He’s about 5 feet eight inches tall with a medium build. He is wanted for theft by fraud.
