LUSHER CHARTER SCHOOL: The Lusher Charter School quiz bowl team recently won the 2015 National Academic Championship held in New Orleans. In only its second year in the competition, Lusher entered the playoffs ranked No. 2 and overcame a 100-point fourth-quarter deficit to defeat the No. 1 seed, Pingry School from Basking Ridge, New Jersey. Lusher senior Cameron Cinel was named the tournament’s most valuable player.
