No-frills discount carrier Frontier Airlines is ending direct flights from New Orleans to Long Island MacArthur Airport in New York and T.F. Green Airport in Providence, Rhode Island, that it debuted in October.
The flights will end March 5, said Frontier spokesman Richard Oliver. He said the airline evaluated the performance of its routes and decided to shift to other markets.
The two flights were among four nonstop routes introduced in October, which also included from Louis Armstrong International Airport to San Antonio International Airport in Texas and Austin–Bergstrom International Airport in Texas.
Another year, another record at Louis Armstrong International Airport.
