A 44-year-old Mandeville man was sentenced to 25 years in prison Monday after pleading guilty in 22nd Judicial District Court Monday to one count of molestation of a juvenile and two related sex offenses.
Adam Parenti began abusing one of his victims when she was 12, according to Lisa Page, spokeswoman for 22nd Judicial District Attorney Warren Montgomery. He bought the girl sex toys and forced her to use them in his presence, eventually using them on her in August of 2012, Page said.
He molested a 15-year-old victim in a similar manner between May and December of 2013, Page said, and forced the victims to ingest narcotics and alcohol.
Judge Reginald Badeaux sentenced Parenti, who will have to register as a sex offender after he is released. Assistant District Attorney Blair Alford prosecuted the case.
