The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development reports roadwork continuing in the following areas:

  • There will be nightly inside lane closures through June 22 on both eastbound and westbound Interstate 12 between La. 59 and La. 434 from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. daily while crews mill and overlay asphalt. 

One lane will remain open at all times. There will be no vehicle restrictions, and emergency vehicles will have access. Motorists may encounter slight delays.

  • There will be intermittent lane closures on the roundabout at La. 59 and Sharp Road through June 15 from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. daily while work is done to pave and stripe the roadway.

One lane will remain open in one direction at all times. There will be no vehicle restrictions, and emergency vehicles will have access. Motorists may encounter slight delays.

Motorists heading north on La. 59 can take La. 1088 north to I-12 west to avoid construction. Southbound motorists may take the alternate route of I-12 east to La. 1088 south back to La. 59.

  • There will be alternating single lane closures in both directions of Oak Harbor Boulevard between the Interstate 10 east and west on/off ramps through June 23.

There also will be partial ramp closures for the eastbound and westbound on/off ramps of the Oak Harbor Interchange. One lane will remain open at all times.

The closures will take place daily from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. while construction of a new curb/median takes place on Oak Harbor Blvd.

One lane of traffic will remain open at all times. There will be no vehicle restrictions, and emergency vehicles will have access.
