KC COUNCIL 14614 ANNUAL AWARDS: The Knights of Columbus of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church Council 14614 recently presented the 2013-14 Knight of the Year and Family of the Year awards to members Tommy Allo, Knight of the Year, and Barry and Cyndi Bellina for Family of the Year. The awards were presented for their dedication, service and inspiration to Most Holy Trinity Parish, community and Knights of Columbus.

THEOLOGY ON TAP: The guest speakers will be Bob and Sheila Butler, speaking on “Marriage as a Means of Grace” at the next Theology on Tap at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, July 24, at the Abita Brewery, 21084 La. 36 in Abita Springs.

IGNITE YOUTH EVENT: Ignite youth group will have a block party at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 1050 Robert Blvd., Slidell. NFP INFORMATION NIGHT: Natural Family Planning information night will be held 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 29, in the Evangelization Center at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 1050 Robert Blvd.

JEDUTHUN PRIESTS IN CONCERT FOR PHILIPPINES: A free song and dance concert with the Jeduthun Priests will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 31, at St. Genevieve Catholic Church, La. 433 near Slidell. The singing priests are on their second U.S. concert tour to raise funds to help rebuild the churches in Bohol, Philippines, that were hit by a magnitude-7.2 earthquake in October. Donations will be collected and the priests’ CD “With Love and Faith” will be available. The singers are from the island of St. Genevieve’s pastor, the Rev. Roel Lungay.
