A seventh boy in Jefferson Parish has come forward to accuse a local gymnastics coach of sexual misconduct, according to authorities.
Jonathan West, who has been jailed since last month, was booked on an additional count of indecent behavior with a juvenile by the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday, said spokesman Lt. Jason Rivarde.
The boy making the latest accusation is 15 but was 13 when he was abused by West, according to Rivarde, who declined to elaborate on the newest case.
Investigators have alleged that West, 26, masturbated in front of some victims, sent sexually explicit images to others and asked for a picture of one’s genitals. Deputies have alleged that some of the abuse took place while West drove them to practice.
He is also facing accusations in St. Charles Parish. Authorities there say he abused two children at Flipnastics studio in Luling, where he once worked.
