One man has died after he was shot in New Orleans East early Friday morning.
The incident occurred about 1:37 a.m. in the 7000 block of Yorktown Drive, police said. The 24-year-old shooting victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment, where he died.

An argument between two men in the Tulane/Gravier area Thursday afternoon resulted in both of them being stabbed, police said. The incident occurred about 4:18 p.m. in the 2400 block of Bienville Street. The two men were involved in an argument, police said, when one of the men, identified as being 55 years old, pulled out a knife and cut the other man, said to be 40. The 55-year-old was also stabbed, police said, although it was unclear how that occurred.
A 23-year-old man said he was sitting in his car in New Orleans East when two masked men approached and stole his vehicle at gunpoint. The incident occurred out 8:35 p.m. in the 4900 block of Gabriel Drive. The driver said the man, who both had "machine guns," also stole his wallet before fleeing the scene, according to an NOPD report.
A man and a woman said they were in the Garden District when an armed man approached and robbed them. The incident occurred about 10:07 p.m. near the intersection of Washington Avenue and Prytania Street. The man, 33, and woman, 24, both complied and the armed man fled the scene, according to a police report.
A 27-year-old man said he was in the Central Business District when someone knocked him unconscious and robbed him. The incident occurred about 1:44 a.m. in the 1000 block of St. Charles Avenue. The man said when he regained consciousness he was missing his shirt, chain and cell phone, according to an NOPD report.
