Signs reading "It's okay to be white" were found on Tulane's campus Wednesday morning, apparently linked to an online movement that was carried out on Halloween.
The signs were similar to those found at other campuses around the nation, according to a report from the student paper the Hullabaloo. The report indicates that the signs can be linked to the online message board platform 4Chan, which suggested the signs be put out by people in costume on Halloween night to maintain anonymity.
The goal of the forum's plan is the hope that negative coverage ultimately mars university and media credibility, and makes "normies realize that leftists & journalists hate white people."
The signs were posted in several areas, including residence halls academic buildings, bulletin spaces and windows, a report said.
