The video, shared by meteorologist James Spann, was captured about 30 miles south of Abbeville.
WWL-TV reported that the best timing for any flurries or light snow south of Lake Pontchartrain will be between 3 a.m. and 6 a.m., as an upper-level low moves over the area. No accumulation was expected.
A hard freeze warning will remain in effect for the New Orleans area from 6 p.m. Tuesday until 10 a.m. Wednesday.
