With just eight days to before the Zurich Classic of New Orleans tees off, Fore!Kids Foundation officials have received commitments from three more champions of golf’s majors.

Fore!Kids Foundation CEO Steve Worthy, whose group produces the Zurich Classic each spring, announced Wednesday that Vijay Singh, Lucas Glover and Geoff Ogilvy have committed to the April 24-27 event at TPC Louisiana.

Singh, a World Golf Hall of Fame member, has won a Masters and two PGA Championships among his 34 victories on the PGA Tour — which includes the 2004 Zurich Classic — and also has 22 international wins.

Glover won the U.S. Open in 2009 and tied for fourth in last year’s Zurich Classic. He also won the PGA Grand Slam of Golf in 2009.

Ogilvy claimed the 2006 U.S. Open title and has seven PGA Tour victories, including two WGC-Accenture Match Play Championships and the WCG-CA Championship.

“All three of these players are selective about which tournaments they play each year, and their commitment to the Zurich Classic shows the stature our tournament has gained on the PGA Tour,” Worthy said in a news release.

They’ll join Ernie Els, a World Golf Hall of Famer who’s won two U.S. Open and British Open titles; reigning U.S. Open champion Justin Rose; former Masters champions Mike Weir and Trevor Immelman; two-time U.S. Open winner Retief Goosen; British Open champions Mark Calcavecchia and Padraig Harrington, who also won a PGA Championship; and former PGA Championship winners Jason Dufner, Keegan Bradley and David Toms in the 156-man field.
