When the New Orleans Saints begin training camp next week, WWL Radio will be kicking off the new Hebert era in its sports coverage.
Coinciding with the station’s coverage of Saints training camp in West Virginia, WWL will unveil a new program featuring T-Bob Hebert and Kristian Garic that will air from 8 p.m.-midnight on weeknights, beginning Wednesday. The program will follow the station’s longtime mainstay “SportsTalk”, which features T-Bob’s father, Bobby Hebert, and Deke Bellavia and airs from 4-8 p.m.
“First of all, it’s just an honor to work for a station like WWL and have them believe in us the way they have,” Garic said. “We take it very seriously, and we hope to put together a show that’s fun, informative and entertaining, while interacting with the fans as much as we can.”
Garic and Hebert, a former offensive lineman at LSU, previously hosted their “Double Coverage” program on 3WL from 6-9 a.m since 2013.
“We were honored and blessed to be able to work over at 3WL for the past two years,” Garic said. “Getting an opportunity to follow (Deke and Bobby) is an honor, and it will help us out to be able to follow the momentum of those guys on a daily basis.
“But I think what people will like about us most is that we are different and our show will bring a different style and perspective than what people have grown to love from their show. Our dream is to follow what those guys do, but bring our own flavor to it.”
