In Kansas City, Mo., Brandon Davis had 27 points and 10 rebounds Saturday, and Rodney Milum added 24 points as LSU Shreveport upset top-seeded and undefeated Columbia (Mo.) College 79-78 in the quarterfinals of the NAIA Division I men’s basketball tournament.
LSUS (27-6), which leads NAIA Division I in scoring, trailed 42-36 at halftime but took its first lead at 61-60 with 10 minutes left. Davis’ basket with 5:35 to go put LSUS ahead 70-69, and Columbia (35-1) never led again.
Mark Politte and Tevin Hall added 10 points apiece for the Pilots, who face Georgetown (Ky.) in the semifinals at 8 p.m. Monday. Jordan Dressler led Columbia with 26 points on 10-0f-14 shooting.
