Mitchell Robinson, ranked as one of the top junior basketball players in the country, officially enrolled at Chalmette on Tuesday, according to Chalmette coach Butch Stockton..

The 6-foot-11 Robinson transferred from Pine Forest High School in Pensacola, Fla.

“I was very excited about it,” said Stockton. “I’ve been coaching since 1975 and I have never had one that tall.”

Robinson is ranked the No. 33 player in the Class of 2017 in the ESPN rankings and No. 42 by 247 Sports.

He is listed as a 4-star recruit by rivals.com and has offers from Tulane, Alabama, DePaul, UAB, UMass, Murray State, Troy,

He comes to a Chalmette team that missed the playoffs the past two seasons.

“A kid like that can help anybody,” Stockton said.
