Bowser makes play

Former University High lineman Greg Bowser made news by intercepting a pass and returning it 31 yards for a touchdown during a McNeese scrimmage last weekend.

Bowser, a walk-on for the Cowboys, is listed as a third-string defensive lineman on the depth chart. He intercepted a Tyler Gaspard pass at the line of scrimmage and returned it for a score, much to the delight of his teammates.

The son of former LSU player Greg Bowser was greeted by other defensive players in the end zone after scoring the TD.
