Plaquemine — Four Green Devils punched in first-quarter scores as Plaquemine blanked Tara 40-0 to remain perfect in District 6-4A action Friday night.

PHS (6-3, 4-0) finished with 19 first downs to Tara’s six, and outgained the Trojans 339-3 on the ground.

Junior running back Kevin Domingue opened scoring for the Greens Devils on a 5-yard run 10 minutes into the first quarter. Sophomore Wayne Toussant and senior Tyler Wesley followed with runs of 1 and 24 yards, respectively.

Junior Todd Harris added a 28-yard touchdown catch from Trey LeBlanc to close out the quarter.

Domingue added another touchdown a 7-yard run in the second quarter, and, after a scoreless third quarter, Dallas Ropati ran from a yard out for a score in the fourth quarter.

Domingue finished with 112 yards on nine carries for two scores, while Ropati had 56 yards and LeBlanc 46.

The Trojans, who had three passes intercepted in the contest, dropped to 0-9, 0-4.

Tara running back Michael Washington led the Trojans with five carries for 10 yards while Daquarius Haynes completed 5 of 11 for 89 yards.

DUNHAM 50, CHRISTIAN LIFE 6: The Dunham School’s defense held Christian Life to a single score in a Class 6-2A win at home.

The Tigers (7-2,4-2) outgained the Crusaders 250-210 despite only gaining seven first downs to Christian Life’s nine.

Dunham running back Tony Huey led the Tigers with three touchdowns with Derek Stingley adding two. Abel Duhon and Mike Williams also contributed scores for Dunham.

Jacob Kibodi scored for Christian Life (5-4, 2-4).

LIVONIA 49, BELAIRE 28: In Livonia, running back Patrick Queen shouldered the load as the Wildcats moved past Belaire in district action.

Livonia led 29-20 in the first half and held Belaire to one touchdown in the second half.

Queen who scored on runs from 3, 4, 30 yards, finished with 25 carries for 179 yards and four touchdowns, moving Livonia to 7-2, 3-1 in Class 6-4A.

Senior quarterback Cee Jay Powell added two touchdowns for the Wildcats and finished with 80 yards rushing. Powell also went 4 of 6 for 32 yards.

Christian Edwards returned a 92-yard fumble recovery for another Livonia score.

For Belaire (5-4, 1-3), running back Daquan Hicks had 25 carries for 194 yards and one touchdown. Anthony Nelson rushed for 62 yards and one touchdown. Wide receiver Timothy Emerson caught an 8-yard touchdown and Tywonne Harris returned a 62-yard kickoff for a score.

ST. JAMES 44, McMAIN 14: It. St. James, the Wildcats offense rushed for 200 yards and passed for another 154 in a convincing victory over McMain.

The Wildcats defense held McMain to only 6 rushing yards and 12 first downs. St. James (7-3) forced eight turnovers — seven of them interceptions.

St. James’ Demarcus Williams passed for 154 yards and rush for another 54.

ASSUMPTION 36, SOUTH LAFOURCHE 31: In Galliano, the Mustangs scored in the final seconds to defeat South Lafourche.

With 58 seconds left, South Lafourche (5-4, 3-1 District 7-4A) kicked a 34-yard field goal to take a 31-29 lead. Assumption (8-1, 4-0) mounted a game-winning drive, scoring with 5 seconds left on a 21-yard pass from Daron Williams to Austin Isibor to seal their victory over the Tarpons.

Zyshawn Richard rushed for 84 yards and three touchdowns in the Mustangs’ victory.
