New Orleans Pelicans teammates congratulate New Orleans Pelicans guard Rajon Rondo (9) as he leaves the court after registering the most assists in franchise history during the second half of an NBA basketball game Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2017, at the Smoothie King Center. The Pelicans won 128-113.

The Pelicans host the Dallas Mavericks at 7 p.m. Friday at the Smoothie King Center. Here are three things to know:

Rajon Rondo shattered New Orleans' franchise record with 25 assists in Wednesday's win against the Brooklyn Nets, becoming the ninth NBA player since 1963 to record 25 assists in a game. Rondo is the fourth player to record multiple games of 24 assists in a career, joining Isaiah Thomas, John Stockton and Magic Johnson.

In December, guard E'Twaun Moore is averaging 16.5 points on 59.2 percent shooting from the floor and an NBA-best 60 percent from 3-point range. Moore ranks third in the NBA in 3-point percentage at 47.4 percent.

Anthony Davis and DeMarcus Cousins have each recorded 20 points and 10 rebounds in 12 of the same games this season. Cousins and Davis each rank in the top 10 in rebounding and points per game. Cousins has 25 double-doubles this season, the second-most in the NBA. Davis has 19.
