New Orleans Pelicans fans really want to see Zion Williamson.
At least, that would appear to be the case with the team's ticket office receiving requests for 2,000 season tickets Tuesday night in the hours immediately after New Orleans landed the No. 1 pick in the 2019 NBA Draft.
The Duke star is overwhelmingly presumed to be the first player selected during the June 20 draft.
Jeff Duncan of Nola.com Tweeted the Pelicans were flooded with the high volume of requests, double the number the number they received in 2012 when the Pelicans last had the top pick and drafted Kentucky star Anthony Davis.

A video of the team's ticket office reacting to the draft announcement went viral on social media Tuesday night.
New Orleans entered the night with just a 6% chance of landing the No. 1 pick, seventh-best odds of the 14 lottery teams.
With the top pick in hand, the Pelicans also have strong odds to move up with a second top four pick.
Even David Griffin couldn’t keep up with the pace at which his franchise’s fortunes changed Tuesday night inside the Hilton Chicago.
During the season, Davis announced his desire to be traded from the team. It's been widely reported Davis would prefer to play in a large market city like New York or Los Angeles.
The Knicks and Lakers, respectively, are slotted to draft No. 3 and No. 4.
