NEW YORK — Pelicans forward Anthony Davis broke his left hand Sunday night against the New York Knicks, and the team said a timetable for his return is to be determined.
The second-year star was injured in the first half Sunday. The Pelicans said the injury was a non-displaced fracture of his hand.
Davis left the game and went to the locker room with a member of the training staff at the end of the first quarter. He returned with the hand wrapped.
Davis was averaging 19.6 points and 10.6 rebounds. The No. 1 pick in the 2012 draft came in leading the NBA with 3.9 blocked shots per game.
