ST. LOUIS — Rookie defensive end Glenn Foster will return to the Saints’ lineup at St. Louis on Sunday after missing the past two games with a knee injury. Defensive end Tyrunn Walker will be inactive as a result.
Foster, who was undrafted, has three sacks and eight total tackles in the nine games he’s played in this year. His most recent injury occurred during New Orleans’ Nov. 21 win in Atlanta.
For the Rams (5-8), WR Tavon Austin (ankle) tops the list of inactives. Austin has been a dangerous weapon for St. Louis with 40 catches for 418 yards and four touchdowns. He’s also run nine times for 151 yards and a TD. His 18 kickoff returns have gone for 398 yards, and his 33 punt returns have gotten 280 yards as well as a 98-yard TD.
Aside from Walker, backups QB Ryan Griffin, S Rafael Bush, CB Trevin Wade, OLB/DE Keyunta Dawson, WR Nick Toon and TE Josh Hill are inactive for the Saints (10-3).
Bush missed the last game with an ankle injury he sustained in the Dec. 2 loss to Seattle. Dawson missed the past two games with a calf injury. Hill left last game early with a hamstring injury.
Griffin, Wade, Toon and Walker are all healthy scratches.
St. Louis’ other inactives are RB Daryl Richardson, G Harvey Dahl (knee), CB Quinton Pointer, G Brandon Washington, G/T Mike Person and DT Jermelle Cudjo. Dahl (knee) and Richardson (thigh) were questionable heading into Sunday.
