WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. — Saints quarterback Drew Brees apparently does not think too highly of coach Sean Payton’s golf-cart driving skills.

So Brees and his understudies at quarterback set up a fake crash scene at the foot of a practice field at The Greenbrier resort where the Saints held their Wednesday afternoon walkthrough, utilizing a cart strategically positioned against a pole holding up a net as well as a dummy wearing a shirt that had the name “Payton” on it.

The dummy was draped over the golf cart’s wind shield, which is low, and it was smeared in red ketchup for effect.

Payton noticed the scene early in the walkthrough, approached it and chuckled when he realized what it was. It was pretty clearly revenge for Payton’s replacing a Chevron sponsorship patch on Brees’ practice jersey with one of Rogaine earlier in camp, a dig at the 35-year-old’s receding hairline.
