Jayrone Elliott and Josh Huff are now Saints.

New Orleans officially signed the pair to reserve/futures contracts on Tuesday. The Saints tried to sign the duo last week but the NFL did not approve the contracts since New Orleans had 90 players under contract.

Space was made by releasing defensive linemen Nick Fairley and Tony McDaniel.

Elliott, who played outside linebacker previously for the Packers and Cowboys, logged 57 tackles, two interceptions and four sacks in three seasons with the Packers. He was acquired by the Dallas Cowboys via trade last offseason, but was waived in September.

Huff, a wide receiver, was selected in the third round of the 2014 draft out of Oregon by the Philadelphia Eagles. He spent three seasons with the teams and then played three games for Tampa Bay in 2016.

Over parts of four seasons, he has 51 receptions for 523 yards and four touchdowns.
