Saints quarterback Drew Brees was wearing a walking boot following Monday’s 35-27 loss to the Detroit Lions and said he will have an MRI on his right foot performed on Tuesday.
Brees had his foot looked at on the sidelines by members of the training staff during the first half of the game. After being taped up between offensive series, he came back on the field without missing a snap.
“I dont know what we got going here,” Brees said. “We’ll know more tomorrow after the MRI. We’ll see.”
Brees finished the game with 341 yards and three touchdowns on 34-of-52 passing. He completed 21-of-31 passes for 231 yards during the second half.
This is the second known injury Brees has suffered this year. He missed a Week 3 loss to the Carolina Panthers after injuring his shoulder during a Week 2 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
