The extra day of rest the Saints enjoyed this week apparently did the team few favors in the health department.

Five members of the Saints, including running back Travaris Cadet (hamstring), linebackers Curtis Lofton (ankle) and Kyle Knox (hand), cornerback Keenan Lewis (knee), and running back Khiry Robinson (forearm), were unable to take part in Thursday’s practice.

However, the team did get running back Pierre Thomas (rib/shoulder) and wide receiver Robert Meachem (ankle), back in a limited capacity.

Thomas missed the last four games after becoming injured Week 7 against the Detroit Lions. Meachem missed the last two.

Offensive tackle Zach Strief (chest) and running back Mark Ingram (shoulder) were limited.

Strief also suffered a concussion last week against the Bengals.
