New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees (9) passes to New Orleans Saints running back Mark Ingram (22) during the first half against the Washington Redskins Sunday, Nov. 19, 2017, at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

MINNEAPOLIS — Drew Brees picked up a little hardware at the NFL Honors awards show on Saturday night.

Brees was voted the Clutch Performer of the Year by the fans for his brilliant performance bringing the Saints back from a 15-point deficit with 6:03 left to beat Washington 34-31 and extend the New Orleans winning streak to eight games.

Down the stretch, Brees completed 11 of 11 passes for 154 yards and two touchdowns to send the game into overtime, and a Wil Lutz field goal gave the Saints a key win.

Fans chose Brees over four other performances, including teammate Mark Ingram's 131-yard, three-score showing in Buffalo and Minnesota receiver Stefon Diggs' 61-yard touchdown, the Minneapolis Miracle that knocked the Saints out of the playoffs.
