The Saints created two spots on the practice squad by releasing wide receiver R.J. Harris and placing offensive lineman Cyril Lemon on an injured list, according to sources.

New Orleans will sign safety Akeem Davis and offensive lineman Ryan Seymour to take their place on the practice squad, according to sources.

Davis spent last season with Washington, where he recorded 11 tackles in 13 games serving primarily on special teams. He was released by the Redskins following the first round of cuts during training camp.

Seymour appeared in 11 games for the Cleveland Browns last season. He previously played for the San Francisco 49ers.

Harris had begun drawing praise for his play in practices, particularly special teams, but became expendable after the team signed wide receiver T.J. Graham to the active roster.
