Sean Payton reached a major milestone on Sunday.

With the win over Tampa Bay, Payton earned the 100th regular-season victory of his career and his 106th overall.

The Saints marked the occasion with a little humor in the locker room after the win.

"They gave me a hard time," Payton said. "I got a ball from Brees, and then Mickey congratulated (offensive coordinator) Pete Carmichael the same way, and Pete said, 'well, I'm already at 107,' because he was there in '12. ... It's a privilege to be able to coach and work with players."

The win was also Payton's 106th overall, which pushed him past the legendary Vince Lombardi and former Raiders coach Tom Flores into 41st all-time.

Payton said he's 'for trying to get that lower,' referring to moving up the charts as he goes.

"I feel like it's early in my career, been with a lot of good teams and a lot of good players," Payton said. "I feel like it's such a team game that it's hard to look at individual numbers like that."
