SACRAMENTO — Ryder Jones belted a pair of home runs to give the Sacramento River Cats a 4-3 win over the New Orleans Baby Cakes on Saturday.

Sacramento scored a pair of runs in the first inning when Ryan Lollis drilled a bases loaded two-run single. Jones hit a solo home run to lead off the fifth inning to make it 3-0 for the River Cats.

Brandon Barnes drilled his 10th home run of the season in the sixth inning to pull New Orleans within a run. The Baby Cakes tied the game in the seventh inning on Chris Parmelee's sacrifice fly.

Jones led off the seventh with his second home run to give the River Cats a 4-3 lead. Tyler Rogers earned the win in relief and Derek Law earned the save.

Baby Cakes starter Tom Koehler went five innings, allowing three runs on eight hits, with nine strikeouts.

New Orleans (40-66) dropped its 10th consecutive road game and fell to 0-5 on the current west coast road trip.

GAME NOTES: Brian Anderson snapped a nine game hit streak. New Orleans dropped 22 of its last 24 games in the state of California.
