What to do: Music, theater beer! Here's some ideas for your weekend

More and more venues are bringing back live music every week. Hooray!

Now, if only the weather would give us a break so we could enjoy some tunes outdoors.

No worries. We’ve got you covered with lots of bands and singers at local bars and restaurants this weekend.

If you’ve missed live theater, have a laugh with Theatre Baton Rouge’s production of “Blithe Spirit.” And Of Moving Colors will wow with its show, “POP,” choreographed to the music of Madonna, Prince and more of our favorites.

When it comes to beer, Mid City Tap Room is hard to beat with 53 brews ready to pour. But now the Government Street is upping its menu game by adding some favorite dishes from Chelsea’s Café.

You’ll want to keep an ear out for Lainey Wilson’s new single, “Things a Man Oughta Know.” The release from her new album is climbing the country charts, and she recently performed at the Grand Ole Opry for the second time. Catch her video here.
